This photo is the product of what is called "negative overlay". Two negatives are placed overlapping each other so the light shines through both negatives in equal amounts. This process is easy in photoshop though far less gratifying.
This looks like a work of mossaic--glass art. I enjoy contemporary work like this. Keep it up!
